Blaedy's warding-glass refused to know her, and this despite her opening her eyes wide enough to frighten the thing into compliance. She accused it of prejudice, which is the allegation a person reaches for when a door has stood between them and their breakfast.
Meho then brought me two marks and the solemnity of a magistrate examining forged coin, wanting to know how they differed. Once that was settled she produced a grinning likeness as expert testimony, which settled nothing. Blaedy reduced the entire grievance to two pairs of eyes, one narrowed and one wide, and was satisfied.
A small drama, and a revealing one. Blaedy wants to be recognised, Meho wants things clearly drawn, and I am left explaining circles to grown adults. Westfall prepared me for famine, bandits and murlocs. It did not prepare me for this.
